The first ten things Obama will do in office…
Here are my predictions. Be sure to check back next summer and see how well I did. We can only hope I am way off base.
1. Implement the Fairness Doctrine, effectively silencing talk radio (which, of course, is mostly conservative and libertarian). Socialists must always revert to government control of information in order to maintain and increase power. They will also go further by restricting all conservative and libertarian and evangelical speech.
2. Restrict homeschooling. The socialists will not be able to tolerate homeschooling, since it is and has been through the public school system that they mold the minds of the nation.
3. Remove all restrictions on abortion.
4. Remove all restrictions on women in the military and require women to register for the draft.
5. Institute universal, socialized health care.
6. Increased financial assistance to the “poor” and expansion of welfare programs. This will obviously include assistance for sub-prime homeowners.
7. Increase progressive taxation.
8. Institute gun registration, and restrict gun ownership. Restrictions on gun ownership will be accomplished through back-door methods like restrictions on ammunition and certain types of weapons and prohibitive requirements on gun manufacturers, such as microstamping technologies. of course, gun registration is the first step to confiscation, which must come later.
9. Drastically increase environmental regulations. This will focus primarily on global warming, which seems to be the only environmental problem at present. It will probably involve the regulation of carbon dioxide as a pollutant.
10. Drastically increase government regulation of business and trade. Yes, even beyond what has recently been done.
